Worcester County Public Schools will open one-hour late today, Wednesday, April 3, due to foggy conditions. Buses will operate accordingly. All school programs will begin following the one-hour delay.

Come to the Community Garden on Saturday for the food distribution.

Pocomoke Middle School went on a HOLD this morning to conduct a K9 scan of our school building with our law enforcement partners, Worcester County Sheriff's Office. We are happy to report that nothing was found during our K9 scan.

Meet Kim Snyder, Pocomoke Middle School's Teacher of the Year, who we'll be celebrating at the annual Teacher of the Year Celebration on April 4.
Kim Godwin Snyder attended Salisbury State University, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Education, and her Masters in School Counseling from Wilmington University. In her twentieth year at Pocomoke Middle School, Snyder currently teaches fourth grade. She treats every student as her own and dedicates her heart and soul to their success. She’s often known for her sense of humor in the classroom which breaks down any barriers between her and her students. She oversees Pocomoke Middle School Christian Club. Additionally, she served 20 years and retired as a Master Sergeant in the United State Air Force.

Attention: The lockdown DRILL is over.

Attention:
Pocomoke Middle School is conducting a lockdown DRILL this morning. Once again, this is a DRILL. There is no threat at Pocomoke Middle School, we are only practicing this DRILL.

What an absolute joy to present two Challenge Coins to deserving students in the Pocomoke area today! Both Yurani (PHS) and Karmyn (PMS) have demonstrated resiliency and a love of learning that should inspire us all. Congratulations, young ladies! -LT #WeAreWorcester

We are proud of our choir who represented us at the Eastern Shore Choral District festival. They performed three pieces and sight sang in front of judges. They scored excellent in sight singing and overall good on the stage. We are proud of all they accomplished in such a short period of time! 💙💛

Today we celebrated our Warriors of the Month with a special luncheon! Congratulations on hard work and excellence! 💙💛

With spring around the corner, WCPS is releasing its updated current school year calendar that reflects an updated last day of school, given the single inclement weather closure this year. Please note, June 14 and 17 still appear as potential make-up days, but are unlikely to be used.

Last call to join us if you'd like to learn about Worcester's implementation of the Blueprint for Maryland's Future. Tonight's regional information session at Snow Hill High School (5:30 p.m. at Snow Hill High School) will be the last opportunity to provide in-person feedback before the 2024 plan is finalized.

Congratulations to our Weekly Warriors for the week of March 4th! 💙💛

Good Afternoon!
Please join us tonight at 6:00 PM in the cafeteria for a presentation on grooming and internet safety presented by the Life Crisis Center and WCPS students. This is a four-part series on human trafficking covering different topics each presentation.

Congratulations to our Weekly Warriors for this week! 💙💛
